Springfield Royal Country Club (Cha-am)
Signature Hole
“easygolfbooking.com” recommends hole # 8, par 4, on the new Valley Course as a must play hole. The challenge and excitement of this par 4 hole is the approach shot on to a tight green, well guarded by numerous large sand bunkers. Accurate players are rewarded over long and wayward drivers.
The hole extends a moderate 406 yards from the championship gold tee, or 361 yards from the regular white tee. Your tee shot need to carried above 250 yards from the gold tee, or close to 220 yards from the white tee, and positioned the golf ball on the left hand side of the fairway, avoiding tree obstructions along the way. This will leave a relatively easier approach shot to the green.

To be on the green in regulation, your approach shot needs precision and height. A short iron approach from the left hand side of the fairway allows some margin for error, while approach shot from the centre or right hand side of the fairway requires a precise yardage, and soft landing, in order to avoid many large sand bunkers guarding the green. Any approach shot landed in the sand bunker should be content with a bogey.

The tight contoured sloping green is not easy to read, you need to take the surrounding mountain slopes into consideration, or you may easily ended up with a miserable three putt bogey. If you are fortunate to place your approach shot close enough to the flag, you will most likely walked away happy with a one-putt birdie, or content with a two-putt for par.
Come and conquer Springfield’s Valley Course # 8 hole and enjoy golfing with “easygolfbooking.com”.
