Blue Canyon Country Club is one of the most prestigious golf courses in Asia. The famous Canyon course, designed by Yoshikazu Kato, has welcome golfers from all over the world since its inauguration in 1991. The Canyon course, par 72, extends 7,179 yards from the championship’s back tees, is beautifully designed to harmonize with the natural landscape. The holes are built along canyon edges with undulating and narrow fairways, and fast sloppy greens. Each and every one of the 18 holes has its own characteristics, making it a must play course for every golfers visiting Phuket.

How to get there

 The challenge and excitement of this picturesque par 3 is the intimidating tee shot on to a tight green, surrounded by large lagoon, which drops several meters in elevation. The hole extends a challenging 194 yards from the championship black tee, or 143 yards from the regular white tee.
Golfer needs to compensate for strong cross-wind gutting over the lagoon, making careful club selection critical. Take one and a half club less, or even two from the black tee, to account for the big drop to the green, and aims toward the widest part of the green (safest target area!) You may not feel the cross-wind, so look at the flag and the surface of the water to determine wind strength and direction.
 MENTAL TIP: don’t get distracted from your normal routine. Visualize the perfect ball flight, focus on one key swing thought, and enjoy one of the most spectacular shots in golf!.
